The classical M49 body provides exceptional acoustic characteristics with a large volume headbasket and angled front mesh.
The capsule is our take on M7, with vintage yet clear character and properly tamed frequency response in the "sibilance" range from 5 to 8kHz.
The tube is a Soviet analog of Telefunken AC701K.
Proprietary schematics for microphone circuitry, bridging the M49 - U47 lineage with our original design solutions.
Terrapin toroid output transformer is based on Cobalt Amorphous Alloy, providing superior performance over permalloy. This core material has extra low Hysteresis loss, exceptional transient response and maintains high inductance throughout the audio spectrum.
All capacitors are vintage Teflon and Foil/Polypropylene type.
Due to our propriatary circuit design - the mic has only one capacitor in the signal path.
